Most of us tend to decide our opinions on someone or something based on our first impressions.
When we first set our eyes on a blog we take everything in and then in a matter of seconds we decide if we take a look around or go on to the next without ever looking bad. Well at least that is what I do most of the time.
After making the decision of making a blog. Deciding what it’s going to look like probably pops in your mind seconds after. Sometimes we need a step-by-step guide on How to Design a Blog and Make It Look Pretty to hold our hand during the process.
“Less is more” has always been my motto for most things in life and I decided this blog should be no exception. I wanted simple and to the point, but with a small dash of color to show a bit of my personality.
I didn’t want a super bright color that would make your eyes hurt. I didn’t want an abundance on empty space that made it seem like I never post. And I definitely did not want a cheesy or boring font. I knew everything I did not want which led me in the direction of what I did want.
I most likely don’t have my perfect design, but design ideas always change, just like blog content. They’re both connected. Changing and maturing as they both go along.
Design is just as important as your content. It can make you or break you. It is what can make you relevant and demonstrate to others you know your stuff.
Why Website Design is Important tells us exactly how truly crucial design can be. It doesn’t matter if you’re selling something or just giving an opinion about anything. If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you do good.
Once you have an idea of the type of blog you want and the people you want to reach, the rest just kind of happens. Colors, fonts, and placing can change, but if you’re consistent in what you want to portray, you’re blog’s first impression can’t go wrong.

If it doesn’t visually appeal to me I will leave and not look at the content they have. I really like how you linked to a guide. When you think of designing something you usually have so many ideas running through your head and it’s good to have guide because it emphasizes what you need to focus on.
